Qualia Reed, Registered Clinical Counsellor, RCC
Hello and welcome. My name is Qualia Reed, MACP, RCC, CCC, and RP Qualifying. I am a new counsellor and come to the field with over 20 years of healthcare experience, including many years as a registered nurse and former paramedic with BC Ambulance. These years in healthcare gave me a deep respect for human resilience and the importance of having someone walk beside you when life feels overwhelming. Those experiences shaped the heart of my work today: providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can bring your full self.
My approach is rooted in humanistic, existential, and person-centred therapy. I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when offered compassion, curiosity, and genuine presence. To me, therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about walking with you as you rediscover your own voice, connect with your authentic self, and define what thriving means for you. I work alongside you, not above you, trusting that you are the expert of your own life.
I often work with individuals who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, or self-doubt, and those navigating major life transitions, career stress, strained relationships, or parenting struggles. Many of my clients come to me feeling alienated, misunderstood, or disconnected—whether from others or from themselves. Together, we explore these experiences and begin to transform them into opportunities for clarity, connection, and meaning.
If you are navigating questions of identity, belonging, or purpose, or simply searching for a space where you feel truly heard, you are welcome here. My goal is to help you embrace vulnerability, build resilience, and create a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and fulfilling.
Outside the therapy room, I find grounding in hiking, writing, and connecting with the natural world. These practices remind me of the importance of presence, reflection, and the many paths available to us when we feel lost.
I’m glad you’ve found your way here. Let’s take this step together and walk this winding road—one step at a time.
